From Blueprint to Build. Designed for Life.
At Blueprint Spaces, every garden building is crafted with carefully chosen materials for a supreme finish. With bold metal cladding on a timeless timber frame, our approach ensures each garden room is both architecturally striking and responsibly built.
Our design team will suggest materials which compliment your surrounding garden and existing property. We build for the future, choosing finishes that will stand the test of time and are sustainably sourced. All of our timber is sourced from responsibly managed forests and are FSC or PEFC certified. In most instances, metal cladding is recyclable and benefits from a long life-span.

Corrugated Metal Cladding
Our corrugated metal cladding gives our garden studios, cabins and bothies an industrial edge, while offering exceptional weather resistance and minimal maintenance. Originally invented in 1829, corrugated metal has stood the test of time for nearly two centuries, proving its durability in some of the harshest environments. The lightweight panels are robust, fully recyclable, and designed to age gracefully, making them a sustainable choice for long-term use.
Often favoured by planning officers, particularly for listed homes, corrugated metal sits comfortably alongside agricultural and heritage architecture. If you’re inspired by Bothy Stores, rustic cabins or barn-style buildings, this is a material with both character and credibility.

Corten Sheets
Known as “weathering steel,” Corten develops a striking rust-like patina that protects the surface beneath. This natural finish creates a warm, evolving façade that blends beautifully with garden landscapes, a quality that makes it favourable with garden designers and landscapers.
Beyond aesthetics, Corten is highly durable, fully recyclable, and requires no painting or chemical treatments. When first installed, Corten has a soft silver appearance. Over time, exposure to the elements allows it to transition into rich orange and deep brown tones, forming a protective layer that defines its character and ensures long-term performance.

Thermowood
Thermowood is a sustainable, heat-treated timber that combines natural beauty with impressive durability, making it an excellent choice for garden rooms. The thermal treatment process ensures stability, resistance to decay, and reduced maintenance compared to untreated wood.
When paired with sleek metal cladding, Thermowood creates a striking balance between natural warmth and contemporary edge – blending rustic charm with modern architectural style. This combination not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also provides a durable, weather-resistant exterior that will stand the test of time. Thermowood can be stained or painted black to sit in harmony with the metal detailing.

Mokuzi Charred Timber Cladding
We offer Mokuzi Charred timber cladding from Millworks, selected for its deep black finish, subtle texture and reliable long-term performance. Designed to evoke the visual depth of traditionally charred timber, Mokuzi offers a refined, architectural aesthetic. Manufactured using a controlled process, the finish delivers a consistent appearance across elevations while retaining the warmth and character of natural timber. Durable, low-maintenance and visually expressive, Mokuzi Charred provides a bold yet balanced façade that complements both contemporary metal detailing and softer landscape settings.
When paired with metal cladding, it creates a strong contrast between organic and industrial materials, resulting in a considered, design-led composition.
